Thank you for making the 2014 Pageland Watermelon Festival a success!


We hope you are making plans to join us July 17-18 as the tradition of the Pageland Watermelon Festival continues in 2015! Come and enjoy live music and entertainment as you walk through the streets of downtown Pageland. The events begin Friday afternoon at 3:00 pm. There will be something for everyone in the vendor area and special events and entertainment throughout the day for the children. Enjoy the music as the sun goes down on this sweet rural town. Come see one of South Carolina’s largest parades on Saturday morning. It will provide plenty of entertainment, laughter and fun for the family. Savor the delicious variety of foods as the beautiful wares of the crafters lure you. Children will enjoy a variety of events throughout the day at the Children’s Stage located in Moore’s Park. Don’t forget the old fashioned seed spitting and watermelon eating contests for all ages. Admire the awesome talents displayed at the festival rodeo each night. Gather with us to enjoy the company of friends and visitors at the end of each day, and take in the music and entertainment of live bands. Enjoy reminiscing about yesteryear at our old-fashioned festival in the heart of the Carolinas. There is something for all ages from 1 to 100, so come join us for a little taste of summertime fun!

Welcome to the 2012 Pageland Watermelon Festival


We hope you are making plans to join us, July 20th and 21st, as the tradition of the Pageland Watermelon Festival continues in 2013! Come and enjoy live music and entertainment as you walk through the streets of downtown Pageland. It kicks off on Friday afternoon at 3:00 pm. There will be something for everyone in the vendor area and special events and entertainment throught out the day for the kids. The Pageland Police Department and the Festival Committee will team up to provide parents with Kid Safety Kits from 3 – 5 pm. The carnival will host Family night on Friday with special savings. Enjoy the music as the sun goes down on this sweet rural town. Then, see one of South Carolina’s largest parades on Saturday morning. Our children will enjoy a variety of events throughout the day at the Children’s Stage located in Moore’s Park. And don’t forget the old fashion seed spittin’ and watermelon eatin’ contests for all ages. Pageants will be held the weekend before the festival, with divisions for adults, teens, youth and children. This will allow the winners to enjoy the festival with us the following weekend. Then gather with us to enjoy the company of friends and visitors at the end of each day, and take in the music and entertainment of live bands.

Watermelon Idol Contest – beginning June 9th and running for 4 weeks in a row on Thursday’s 6 – 9 pm.  This event promises to be lots of fun.  Idol hopefuls will compete each week and then a grand finale week will determine a winner that will perform their song at the Watermelon Festival.  Winner receives $200.  Click here for a registration form to enter.  Hurry, deadline is June 3rd.
