The Pageland Chamber of Commerce invites you to the annual Pageland Watermelon Festival. With all the enthusiasm we can provide – the town of Pageland grows from a small town of 3,000 to a weekend population of more than 30,000. With area merchants, neighborhood volunteers and festival goers from all over, the festival continues with a popular growth each year. It is recognized as one of the largest 2-day festivals in South Carolina.
Our event is held each year on the third full weekend in July, when it’s just right for the watermelons to come off the vine. Vendors arrive on Thursday evenings when possible, but the main set up time is Friday morning with the festival beginning at 3 pm. Saturday offers a full day of sales and fun for everyone.
There are lots of attractions downtown to pull in the customers. We have live music, entertainment for children and adults, car and motorcycle shows, carnival rides, contest and a great parade. Just outside of the festival area we also have a rodeo and softball tournament attracting lots of folks to our area.
